Great American Afghan

Tomorrow – Saturday, June 7th is the official kick off for the Great American Afghan Knit along – and I will be casting on – Yes I know that I have three (okay more than that – but enough about me) other projects that I should be working on (I am still working on the knit along sweater and the back is nearly done) but I am so excited about this blanket – and I am thinking that I might be able to get the first square done during the weekend – that would be wonderful no guilt that I am supposed to be doing a square a week… I would have the first square done with time to spare… I hope to see those of you that have joined the knit along – hopefully you will be able to finish your squares during the weekend (maybe you could finish it on Saturday) as well. Remember every Saturday is cast on day – if you do a square a week we will be done by Thanksgiving – just in time to sew it together and give it as a Christmas gift (and yes you can wrap it and give it to yourself.)
If you haven’t been in for a while I have lots of summer linens, bamboos, cottons, not to mention the fabulous new hand dyed sock yarn, and lots of new classes on the calendar. Come in see the knitters working on squares (start a square yourself) bring a project and hang out a while I would love to see you.
